Job Advert: Residential Building Surveyor

We’re seeking an experienced MRICS or AssocRICS Residential Building Surveyor to join our
dynamic and innovative consultancy, based in one of our offices in Sheffield, Manchester or
Birmingham.


With a strong pipeline of instructions across the Midlands & North of the UK servicing a
variety of clients, from the general public to commercial investors with large portfolios, you’ll
be inspecting and reporting on properties of all shapes, sizes and ages.

The Requirements:

  • AssocRICS or MRICS, with minimum 1-2 years building surveying experience.
  • Experience writing RICS Level 2 & Level 3 home surveys, snagging surveys and
    specific defect reports
  • A full clean driving licence with regular travel to site inspections each week.
  • Detailed knowledge of building construction & pathology and have good performance
    & risk awareness within a regulatory environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to build
    relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • An understanding of GoReport or other report writing software
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft software
  • Experience with AutoCAD would be beneficial but not essential.

The Package:

  • Base salary of £35-50k depending on skill set and experience

  • Hybrid working within a permanent, full time contract equating to, 2 days per week in
    the office, and 3 days onsite and/or home working.
